Walk Back in Time Living History Event

The 8th Annual Walk Back in Time Living History event will be held in Mexico, MO again on 25-27 September at the Audrain County Historical Society grounds. This well established Living History Timeline regularly attracts 12-15,000 visitors over the course of the weekend. Mexico, MO is located centrally on the east side of Missouri, and is about an hour from the Illinois border, 100 miles from St Louis, 160 miles to KC, and 250 miles to Des Moines. The event features a living history timeline from the native American times, to modern days. We will again have WWII displays and a battle. We also are expanding the WWI section, with the possibility of a WWI battle. This is an opportunity to do multiple impressions in different time periods over the course of a weekend. This is a small but tightly run event with good benefits, like clean showers and a free dinner Saturday night for participants. We will also do the ever popular reenactor's auction again this year, so bring an item for donation to the sale. We are also looking for Korean war, and Vietnam era reenactors and displays. Set up can occur as early as Wednesday, and Friday is an educational day for local schools. The main event is Saturday and Sunday. The Audrain County Historical Society is located at 501 South Muldrow, in Mexico, MO 65265. Space is very tight inside the timeline, so reservations must be made in advance.
