WHAT IS LIVING HISTORY?
Living history is recreation of a historical time period, place or situation through impression and reenactment. Enthusiasts recreate historical uniforms, equipment, mannerisms and situations to further their understanding of history.
The Midwest Great War Living History Association is dedicated to educating people about World War I by creating impressions of World War I-era soldiers, people and events.
MGWLHA members participate in civic and educational activities in period impressions, and participate in field excursions and re-enactments designed to heighten our understanding of World War I.

Upcoming MGWLHA Event
| The MGWLHA is hosting a re-enactment at Squadron Field, in southeast Kansas north of Parsons. We will depict entrenched and semi-mobile action. There will be opportunities to work on the trenches and recreate tactical manoeuvres. Expect night action! This will be the best event yet! |
